Role: Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Bellevue, WA

Hourly Rate: $60-75/hr.

Position Type: 1 year contract with possibly of extension dependent on business needs

Ledgent Technology is currently assisting a respected client in their search for a Site Reliability Engineer. This position offers a 1 year contract term with the potential for extension based on business requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Proficient in Python programming language to automate tasks and develop tools for infrastructure management.

· Expertise in Linux system administration including network configuration and management.

· Capable of diagnosing and resolving production performance issues across applications and infrastructure components.

· Familiarity with Message Queue systems such as Kafka and RabbitMQ for efficient communication between distributed components.

· Administration and management of Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration and deployment.

· Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CICD) tooling and DevOps automation practices for streamlined software delivery pipelines.

Secondary Skills and Qualifications:

· Proficiency in Mandarin language is strongly preferred, though not mandatory.

· Proficient in Shell scripting for automating system tasks and management.

· Understanding of containerization concepts and technologies.

· Exposure to distributed systems like Consul, Zookeeper, MongoDB, etc., to manage complex infrastructures effectively.

· Knowledge of configuration management tools like Saltstack for infrastructure automation and management.

· Utilization of monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, etc., for system performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
